El Pueblo was inspired by Georgia O’Keef’s Pueblo New Mexico painting.

El Pueblo is positioned at the base of a mountain with higher peaks in the background. The fabric I used for the Pueblo is off-white upholstery that I “dyed” with Coliche thinned in water. After the fabric dried, I brushed off the grit before sewing it on the art quilt.
